...and here's the rear view of that haunting '56... The shave continues out back on the emblems, and I opted for a set of custom Lee lenses for the tail lights, keeping that period look together.
The roll bar is a hint of the car's capabilities, should the guy next to it at the light miss the idle, loud exhaust, menacing stance....
As is usually the case, Illustrator CS2, starting woth a loose pencil sketch, and then slapped over an abstract background.

The style back then was running two different rims at times... a lightweight mag up front was thought to help with the all-important weight transfer... many of the street/strip cars ran a steel wheel out back on the slicks, and this one plays up that theme, only with chrome-reverse wheels for some added flash.
